Video Power Gains

I am a lexus IS 300 (5 speed manual) owner. I love my car to death, I have no complains what so ever. I want to make my car better. What would be some starting power gain mods that can be done to the car. I've tried searching the web but I get too many results and I have no way to confirm whats legit and what's salesman pitch to get me to buy their part. Any suggestions welcomed thanks.

Wow a fellow IS300 owner in here ! Ok, for small power mods, so far I just have a intake and exhaust. Maybe I am maybe making 15 more hp.
For a intake, I have a K&N fipk, known as the 2nd best intake for power. 1st would be the SRT intake, but it is much more expensive and you need to solder the ECU.

For a exhaust I have a tanabe medallion full cat back exhaust, I love it, very high quality, quiet at idle, but make a big roar at high rpm ! All exhausts make similar gains, just choose on how loud or quiet you want it and how it looks.

The intake and exhaust are the only power mods I am doing, because I want a quiet IS300, until I can save the major money for a turbo...

If you don't care how loud your IS300 is, other inexpensive power mods are headers and y-pipe, which can give you about another 30hp, but caution the car will be loud, a fellow club member did the headers and y pipe on his IS300 and you can hear him a block away !

Hope this helps...
