So I went on a long road trip with 30 other Porsche,s a week ago. Everything was good and got some gas at a 76 station in a small town. 100 miles down the road started getting miss at high boost and I figured it was the plugs as it felt like the same as when the plugs were going out " Softronic Flash installed ". So I figured it was the plugs aging ave life with plugs is 10 to 14k and I was hammering on it through some canyon roads.

Gave my shop a call " MAXRPM " and explained the details and the first things he said was what about your gas or fuel filter as he felt I should have gotten more life out of the plugs.

I was near empty and filled up back home, Still had small miss at high boost but no CEL,s coming on like before when plugs were going bad. My shop also recommended changing out my fuel filter, Well After 2 tanks of good gas the miss is gone!! One strange thing was that I had like a miss bigger than the rest almost like a hick up and after that everything was very good and miss was totally gone.

Was it the gas ?? Car is running good now !! Any thoughts ?

Only question is now what do I spend the $600 on since my plugs are good. I am thinking new LED tailights.

Just wanted to share this incase anyone else runs into it...

 

Small town and buying super can be an issue. That gas may have been very very old. I would see how another couple of tanks go. If it is gone then I think you will be OK.
