PCA event in Little Rock to help fight diabetes
A little late posting this, but the Ozark PCA held a local P-car show in North Little Rock last Saturday to help fund sending diabetic kids to Camp Aldergate for a week. Camp Aldergate is a local camp in the area with programs specifically designed to accommodate kids with disabilities, who would not otherwise have the chance to enjoy "normal" camp activities.
The weather was almost perfect, if just a bit breezy, and we had about 30 P-cars in attendance. 30 cars is quite a few, considering Arkansas has no Porsche dealers in our state. Door prizes and a "people's choice" contest was held during the event with two very nicely restored 356 coupes taking the top two positions of the three awards and a beautiful red Cayman taking third. Lot's of non-Porsche owners stopped by to look at the cars and ask questions, and it was both a great social event in support of a worthy cause as well as an opportunity to display our babies to folks who had an interest in Porsches but never owned one.
