I have a lead on a barely used Werks1 Carbon Fiber Intake for my 08 Turbo. Anyone have any experience with these? The filters they use look like trash but the price of these things new ($3500) makes me wonder how it can cost so much if it doesn't perform. Any insight is appreciated.

Well you are paying a lot for the carbon and the design that went into it!

Performance not to sure but there are plenty of references in the search from memory.

 

It looks really nice and the quality is just the best, i had it in my car but since i'm in a budget i sold it to get some other parts that were in the top of my list (rims, front lip, rear wing, etc).

In the future (after i upgrade my VTG) i will get it again with the werks CF Y pipe.

 

Leo any issues with water going down there?

I can buy one for $800 and then need new filters ($259). From what I am hearing its all cosmetic and some BMC filters would do more performance wise.

 

Get it right now! $800 is a really good price for that intake.
