Is an extended warrenty worth it?

The warranty on my 997.2 tts expires in July. Im now thinking to get an extended warranty from the dealership. The car is currently having mileage under 20000km which is around 12k miles. Is it worth it? And now the only problem my car has is the noise from the defroster. After the air is warm, there will be that squeaking noise coming from the defrost if i try to turn off the ac or turn it on again. The dealer had the severt motor changed last time and it was good. But the noise came back on again these days. They told me last time if it came up again they would have to swap the entire ac module. Any idea? TIA!

Seems like you've answered your own question. If you've got potential major work due and a car with a history of making noises, it would seem that an extended warranty wouldn't be such a bad idea.

No, you're betting on a major breakdown, highly unlikely. Most am warranties don't cover and pay like oem/cpo.
Chances are any repair you do is way less than the initial cost and deductable.

im gna get it fixed before the warranty expires. it's very minor. im just thinking whether an extended wanrranty is necessary for my car with not-that-high mileage
