997.2 Inner quarter panel removal

I recently purchased a 2010 Turbo Cab. and need to remove both the driver and passenger rear inner quarter panels to have them redone.

So far I have been unable to locate any instructions - hoping someone has
been down this road already.

It is quite simple -- if you do a DIY for rear seat belts you should find it. Essentially, there is only 1 screw and 1 bolt and then everything else is clipped. The screw is just behind where the seat belt enters into the panel -- it is hard to see and easy to lose so keep am magnetic tool handy. The bolt is part of the latching mechanism that holds the seats up. Fold the rear seat down and you will see it protruding out. Simply remove with an allen key.

With both removed, start by gently pulling the panel from the door opening, near the bottom carpet. Pull towards the other side of the car, not up or down. Keep at it and you will be able to release many of the clips. Now, look behind the panel and you will see the speaker connection. Unplug that and then you can keep unclipping and remove the entire panel.

The above assumes you don't need to remove the B or C pillars for anything, although those are easy as well. What are you trying to do back there?

Look at the picture right above "Remove the seat belt collar" and that is where the screw is. You can access it without removing the B-pillar, but again, loosen it 90% of the way and then stick a magnet tool back there as you loosen it fully. This will prevent it from falling into the innards of the panel. Continue with those same instructions for removal of the rest of the panel. I've done it probably 5+ times now and do not believe anything is different for the 997.2

Thanks for the quick replies guys! - the previous owner was a bit careless when using the air deflector. It came out of the two mounting points and marred the leather - looks like ****.
I want to take both panels off to have them redone.
