Passenger Window Wont Work

Hey guys , need some help . My passenger side window on my 05 997 C2s wont work . When I hit the buttons to roll it down I hear a clicking noise. Checked the fuse and its good. When I open the door it doesnt roll down to prevent hitting door frame. Please HELP Strangely this happened shortly after installing a new battery

clicking as an electrical relay noise or metallic metal noise?

Sounds like you may just have to reset your autodown on the button being that you changed the Battery.

Hold button down opening the window and then hold going back up. Hold for at least 3 secs at top and bottom.

Clicking like a relay noise.....ill try doing that. I held in the up and down positions but haven't tried it one right after the other. Ill try that but I don't think that's gonna do the trick. The window does nothing when I hit the button

If the window doesn't move, it sounds mechanical and the relay is doing its job.

I would remove the door panel and take a look.

Could be the regulator, it's not all that bad.

A really good guide can be found here, this will get the door skin off:

http://rennlist.com/forums/diy-submi...l-removal.html

Pelican also has a pretty detailed write-up:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...el_Removal.htm

I would recommend buying some spare pieces if you tackle it yourself, just incase you break a clip or two. They're pretty strong, though.

Door Clips 95555524300 $1.00 Pelican Parts

Prying the door skin off is a challenge. Those clips really do a damn good job.

Even though it sounds mechanical, it is a little too coincidental that it happened when you replaced the battery.

I would try disconnecting the battery again first and let it sit for a few minutes and then try again. Sometimes disconnecting the battery does goofy things.
