it appears the genius at the last shop my car was at either put the drain plug in with an air tool, or did it with the motor cold.

Long story short the threads are coming out of the bung.

can I helicoil this and just flush the motor a few times, or what is the best way to remedy? I’d prefer to leave the motor in the car.
