Driver's Door Latch won't retract

Driver's Door Latch won't retract
I've been searching and can't find the actual part number of the part that breaks in the door.
I opened the door yesterday from inside and heard a popping sound. Now the handle won't retract and the micro switch to slightly open or close the glass is activating as the handle swings haphazardly.
is the part a member of a bigger part?
