Having trouble with my air suspension. Warranty just ended in December. Please help.
I have read around for hours, but can't seem to find the exact same problem.
I can start my mentioning its cold up here in Norway. -10*C, I think its 14 F, and Im parking outside.
Two days ago I heard a cracking noise from below passenger seat (compressor?) for about 1-2 seconds, I got "chassis system failure" and the 40a fuse was blown.
Yesterday I went to a nearby car repair to read the diagnostics. Fault on level sensor and compressor. He erased the faults and replaced the fuse, and everything worked as normal. (This was inside with good temperature).
This morning I heard the same crackling noise for only 1 second and I got "chassis system failure" again. Fuse blown. I measured the height all around and front right was maybe 1/3 inch lower.
Called back to the auto shop and they want to change compressor. Could the problem me something else here? Relay, level sensor, air leak etc. ?
I would start with the easy replacement part first, probably the sensor.
We have had our 958 diesel in cold temps without issues. The coldest being -40F with a blizzard and 60mph winds the day after this photo. This was our second winter Arctic adventure in March 2020 - the first was in 2016.
Edit - just noted that your post was from February. Did you get the issue resolved?
