HVAC Issue?

Hi all, I'm new to the Cayenne world. Just picked up an 08 CTT and loving it so far!

I do however, have one strange issue with the climate controls and vents. I'm hoping that it's a total noob issue, but the only related thread has no resolution. Help appreciated!

The issue is that the drivers vents only blow hot air - regardless of the settings. I have the 4 zone system, but even if I put it in "Mono" mode and link everything together on 61 degrees, the drivers vents will blow hot. The passenger vents blow cool in this case and the closest I can get is the drivers vents will only blow a little hot air while the passenger side is blasting cold air.

Is this something I should get checked out? I had a Porsche dealer do a pre-purchase inspection and they didn't point out any issues with the climate controls... Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Definitely get it checked out. I've heard of these types of issues before but don't recall what the remedy is. I'm sure it can be fixed though...

Thanks Jay! I'll start finding someplace local to get it looked at.

There are a bunch of servo-controlled motors behind/under the dash that control and regulate airflow. I recently had a similar issue with my Cayenne but it was the exact opposite problem. The passenger side would only blow cold air, regardless of the settings. Not exactly pleasant for the wife in the middle of winter.

I noticed you're in the Bay Area. I had Flintworks in Campbell take care of the issue. They diagnosed which motor had the problem, ordered the part, and had it taken care of for me. Total cost was around $300 installed.

Awesome, thanks for the advice and suggestion - My wife has the CTT down in the south bay during the week so that should work nicely!

Alden is a great guy to work with (let him know Vishal sent you). He is also very responsive over email, which I have found to be pretty rare for most shop owners.
