White gauges installed

Finally got around to putting some white gauge overlays in. I originally was thinking yellow, but I chickened out and ordered white. I am liking them very much! I also had a gray center console laying around, so I painted that silver and put that in as well. What do you think?

Looks like mine on the Titanium edition (the Ti edition ones are sorta brushed silver.) Looks nice - downside - the back illuminated lights don't stand out much against the white.. (silver..)

I took my time and total installation was about 2 hrs. Now that I know what is involved the job could be done in under 1 hr. There was a tutorial on Renntech that was helpful about swapping an S cluster for a Turbo, and Roxxbox who posts here has a post as well.

I have OEM white gauges on my '08 GTS too and I think they look fantastic. That said, I have a grey interior and I think the white gauges look even better with your black interior - nice choice & very well done!

I agree - but interestingly, my white gauges look almost completely black at night. If I didn't know they were white I'd swear they were black if I only saw them illuminated at night!

BTW - what did you use for paint for the console? That looks great too! Nice contrast going on there - very classy!

Thanks! The gauges do look black at night, but the needles have a red glow to them, and they reflect off the white too, so that looks pretty cool!
I had this extra console just laying around so, I just sprayed it with a silver Rustoleum paint. It doesn't match perfectly with the aluminum, but is close.

Yeah - I noticed that the needles look "redder" and seem to glow more against the white gauges too - and it does look extra cool that way. Interested in selling your old console? I was thinking of modding mine as well but I'd rather mod a different one and keep my original for backup. PM me if you're interested...
