Chassis System Failure

I have a 2011 PTT that throws the Chassis System Failure light when it is cold out. This seems to be a somewhat common problem and I looked over ciaka’s Air Suspension System Info post, which really helped me understand the system.

I dropped my car off at my Indy last night to get my annual inspect and since it was in the 20s overnight I knew the Chassis System Failure light would pop on and asked them to take a look. The codes that popped up were: 00220 Vent Sol Valve Time Exceeded; 00320 Level Control Implausible; 000328 System Air Quality Low; PSM 002086 & 00208A Sport Mode Faults. They noted that after the car gets warm everything goes back to normal, which I knew. They thought that there was possibly moisture in the system and recommended that I see a dealer.

I’m going to run through the soapy water tests that ciaka suggests over the weekend, but wanted to see if the codes that it threw suggested any specific problems. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't mention that the car airs-out overnight, so I am assuming it doesn't. Start with swapping out the suspension relay. If that doesn't fix it, the "Vent solenoid valve time exceeded" tells me that the vent solenoid is bad. That's part of the valve block.

Thanks for the info. The car does not air out over night. I haven't had the problem since March/April when it was last cold out.

If you get a new compressor and if you live in a cold climate, pay the extra for the 'extreme cold' option good to -27 deg or something. SW option that doesn't cost much more. Good luck!
