During a recent tire install, the technician noticed that the front and back of my rear cardan shaft (transfer case to diff) appeared to be leaking/failing. Will attach photos. You can see the line of grease being thrown. Rather than replacing the entire unit (~$1500), is there any possibility of having these boots replaced? I assume there is a bearing in there that would need to be repacked too. I haven't been able to find much online about the 958 style cardan shafts (a lot on the 955-957).
Any thoughts or experiences? Transfer Case end (front), note grease line in tunnel Differential end (rear)
Thanks
Sandy
