Now code P0C2A (auxiliary trans oil pump stalled)

So we finally got our 2011 Cayenne S back from the dealer about a month ago after getting the camshaft bolts replaced that sheared off. Then just after that started getting misfire codes. Found cracked coil, and replaced plugs.

Now today, the auto/start/stop disabled warning light comes on and it sets a code P0C2A for "Auxiliary transmission fluid pump motor stalled."

Now I assume this pump is an electric pump that engages when the engine goes into a "stop" routine for the auto shut off. However there is just very little info out there for it.

Where is it located? How often do they fail? Is it only used during auto shut off events?

Is your CS a CPO? How many miles?Interesting that they didn't find the coli pack issue when the engine was taken apart.
sounds like another trip to the dealer.

I just purchased a 2011 CTT and this manual, 10,000 pages for $15.00 Not sure if you are a DIY'er.
I did a search and found nothing perhaps its internal?

Actually a technician for Ford, so I have no problem doing it myself. Just Porsche has a pretty good choke hold on most or their diagnostic information.

The pump I believe is nothing more than an electronic pump to cycle trans fluid through the trans cooler while the engine is in a "stopped" mode during the auto start/stop function.

In this image it is part #4 A pretty costly item. I see a few reports of failed modules for this component, and not so much of the pump itself.

So this is not an issue if the auto start/stop function is disabled? (the way I prefer)
your well qualified to diagnose and make the repair. Pretty lousing timing as you just got the car back.
Keep us posted seems like a Porsche band aid (start/stop) to meet the CAFE standard.
Not well implemented by a hang on pump.

Would you mind looking in your manual for the code P0C2A. And see if it has a description of what causes that fault code and any other information it provides with the code?

So far the code has not come back with the system still enabled. So it is an intermittent fault.

I'm going to assume it will occur more during frequent stop and go traffic. Ill lift it up in a few days and check the wiring to the pump for any possible damage. If it is the electronic motor failing, it is likely the brushes on the electronic motor are worn and failing when hot. If it does occur again and I trace it to the pump, I may try rebuilding it

I don't have auto start/stop but have the code in my diesel. It is getting sorted under the diesel 10yr/120K miles diesegate drivetrain warranty.

POC2A Resolved?

I am getting the same code on my 2013 Cayenne diesel. Did Porsche fix it under diesel extended warranty?
If so, what was the formal diagnosis?
Thank you!
Tim

Hello there, I have a 2013 Cayenne diesel and have thrown the POC2A code recently. I would like to confirm that you were able to get the aux transmission fluid pump fixed under your dieselgate warranty?
If so, can you please share which dealership performed the work? I would like to establish precedence when I speak to my local Porsche dealership.
THANK YOU!!!
TD

I just the code myself, but only realized the code was there because I just got an OBD2 reader, no engine light was on. The symptom that I also have is that the engine is jumping 50 rpms when I get off the brakes from a stop. Related? Would very much appreciate it if anybody on the forum has gotten it fixed under the extended Dieselgate warranty and how to proceed with it.....thank you and looking forward to hearing what other owners have done. If not covered by warranty, what was the cost to fix?
