2011 CTT - Reduced Engine Power / Check Engine!

Oh no!

Went to start the Turbo today and it took about 3 seconds to turn over. Immediately the check engine light turned on along with 'Reduced Engine Power'. I managed to drive it to the dealer a whopping .5mile away and it shifted at like 2500 rpm. Guys are saying it might be temp. housing...

So I go to work, and a guy who parks next to me shows me a huge *** puddle of radiator fluid where I parked!

Awaiting response from dealer as to the official cause...

Had the same issue on mine minus the puddle and it was the primary fuel pump. It's a publicized part swap.
Works perfectly now, starts faster.
Please let me know what the puddle is from..... That concerns me.

Just picked her up today.

Minor problem: Power steering return line leaks oil o-ring
correction: reinstalled streering line and replaced o-ring. note: replaced o-ring to see if leak is fixed. If still leaks will need to order low pressure hose.

And the main problem:

Cause: High pressure pump shorted and will not produce enough pressure.
Correction: (ran diagnostics and all that). Ended up removing and reinstalling high pressure pump.

Glad you got the PS problem fixed. If I'm not mistaken that can cause a pretty major fire.

Vehicle fixed today. It turned out to be a sensor problem in the fuel system. It was replaced. So far, the vehicle functions normally.

Please keep us updated. Also, have you thought of switching to another dealership for repair - you know, just to get a fresh pair of eyes on the issue?

Service dept stated that system has same fault as last time. There was a bulletin on this. Service had completed the necessary steps last time. It recurred so they sent data to Porsche tech support.

Service calls and said they were advised to try the vehicle after bypassing the sender/sensor just for diagnostic purposes. Sounds like a lemon (pre-owned car). Sounds like Benzazas had the same problem. Bad timing for this to occur. In the middle of a career move.

Technicians are having to disassemble connectors to sender and re-solder the wiring. This is according to instructions from Porsche. According to service manager, this seemed to have solved the problems in other cars. Incidentally, the Panamera loaner, a brand new V6 already had its first alert - check right side indicator. It arrived with 40 miles. It now has 100 miles.
