I want to add a brighter backup light. I hoped I could just use the 7 pin trailer plug but apparently the car needs to see a trailer in order to energize the plug. I was thinking about tapping into the reverse lights but suspect that could trigger an error message.
My other idea is to run the light to a switch. Has anyone run a wire from the front to rear underneath the car? Or has anyone added a reverse light and how did you do it.
