6"door Speakers not working Bentley continental gt 2007
Hello
This is my first post and new to the forumn.
Some of my speakers are not working on the doors. From listening close up the rear speakers in the doors are not working. I believe they are 6" round speakers.
Im lookong foradvise and how to diagnose to find the faulty part. ? I have upgraded the infotainment system to a Android screen thinking this would help but its the same.

I think its strange both the same speakers (rear) on both doors don't work before or after the head unit change....could it be the amp?
I want to try and take the door panel off and test the speaker and test to see if any power is getting to them but Im unsure how to test them?
I think the amp is the logical place to look. I'd test the speakers from the connections at the amplifier before removing the door panels. The easiest way to see if a speaker is dead is to hold the leads on a 9 volt battery. If the wiring and speakers are good you'll hear static when you touch the leads to the battery terminals. That's not to say that the speaker cones aren't dried out but it'll show whether they're getting signal. No static means a bad speaker. Have you adjusted the front/rear fader control on the head unit?
It’s worth remembering that the speakers you’re referring to are the rear bass speaker (despite them being located in the front doors). As stated previously, check your fader isnt set all the way to the front. If it’s centred, it may be a hardware fault with the amp. These amps have 10ch or 12ch outputs (depending on spec), with each pair of channels running each speaker range (ie bass, mid, tweeter) actively. It’s not uncommon for amps of this age to lose channels but there are companies out there who specialise in repairing them.
My speakers kept dropping out for a while and then kicking in, and it was the connections at the speaker. I replaced both door speakers and cleaned up the rust on the connecting cables and they came alive!! I would check the connections. Theres decent videos on. YT to remove the door cards, but just becareful as they can be heavy and drop when you unhitch it from the top of the door.
