Question Air Bag Message

This message has popped up a couple of times the last month or so. Goes away after a while. Any ideas?

Owners book describes how it works with occupancy sensing. Object on seat less than 40 lbs does it.

There was nothing on the seat (both times the error came up).

When my dog is on the seat (30lb), I get a message on center console, but no icon within the gauge cluster or message to read. FWIW, I think both times the seat was all the way up front.

Most likely needs dealer calibration since it's at the front position. I assume nothing under the seat. I would just keep it an inch or so from full front position and see if it happens again. Doesn't sound like a failure or fault just out of calibration. Maybe your dealer would be nice enough to do a friendly calibration at no charge to see if it passes or if something is faulty.

I get the message anytime my girlfriend puts the seat all the way back and it jams into the parcel shelf. As soon as I move it off the shelf it goes away.

I had the same issue with a Timeless Certified 2015 V12S that had a ton of issues (previously posted here). Morries Aston Martin told me that was 'normal', but with 3 previous V8 Vantages prior to the V12S I knew it was not. Aston Martin replaced my problem car, but I kept in touch with the new buyer of that problematic one. A month after he bought the car the engine blew up and was replaced under warranty. A rep from Aston Martin flew out to OK the work and authorize delivery, but the air bag warning issue showed up (that I said was not right), they said needed to be fixed. I happened to drop by the Morries shop when they were working on it and the entire interior was apart trying to figure what short or what computer was screwing up (it was not the seat). Not sure what the cause was, but it was impressive to see the amount of work they put into a warning light.

I am backing it off a hair of being all the way forward. Makes it easier to see out the passenger rear window when the seat is forward.
