Good luck finding these in Canada

I will be doing my coolant flush in the spring and getting everything I need, I was reading that the Ford RT-1163 (thermostat) and Ford RTS-1079 (gasket/O-ring) were a direct replacement for the Aston Martin Vantage 4.3 and 4.7 but when I contacted Ford Dealership yesterday they told me that these parts are no longer available and aftermarket parts was the only solution. One dealer I called checked internally all Ford Dealership in Canada and said that only 2 x RT-1163 were available (if they still had them), one around Toronto and the other one in Manitoba. I was able to locate both of the parts at Rock Auto in the USA for less than $60 Canadian shipped to my house which is very reasonable considering that Aston Martin wants 6G433210449 Thermostat $168.24 and 6G433210310 Seal -Thermostat $21.42 before shipping.

I installed this 2 weeks ago in my 2007 Vantage, also drained and replaced the coolant. Highly recommend getting the drain plug for the Radiator if you're also replacing the coolant. Everything works great. We've had 55-90 Deg. F ambiant temps. here over the last 2 weeks. All good.

Thanks Lutz I will get that drain plug, remember that what is on Amazon.com is not always or often on Amazon.ca and most place on Amazon.com don't ship to Canada. I am sure you don't miss all the snow and cold we are having this year

I don't miss the snow for everyday living; we do have a place in New Mexico to go skiing. I miss the long skates down the canal as 23 year old kid. I understand the ice is open full length this year. It's been 20 years since I moved, and I'm hoping come back to visit soon.
The Amazon listing has the Jaguar part number, I believe. You may check with the local Jag dealer. My thermostat did have the rubber seal that was deformed. I noticed it on the first cold day here, it was 34F and the gauge showed longer than normal warm-up.

I hope you get an early spring. Some family members in NYC said they got 50+cm of snow yesterday.
