Guess please on when second model yr of 997TT?

I owned a '99 996 and I WILL NEVER get another Porsche in the first model year. I am pissed that Porsche doesn't let us track our cars anymore. And even more pissed that they don’t make X50 Turbo’s that can tolerate a few hours of track use without blowing up the transmission, but I will probably get a 997TT (MANUAL THANK YOU) in the second model year, assuming I don’t get a Ferrari 430 or Lamborghini Gallardo.<O</O
<O</O

Now ignoring the run-on sentence, split infinitive, and Ad Hominem insult, could somebody make a guess as to what date that would be? <O></O>
<O</O

Am I OK for June of '07? Or am I too early?

Typically model years coincide with factory shutdown in August. However, many times Porsche has done crazy things with the timing. I got my '99 order done in April '98, delivered November. Got my '04 C4S Cab ordered in late January '04, delivered May '04.

But since the Turbo is based on the already existing 997, I doubt there's so much to worry about first year.

The only thing to expect second year would be a few option packages configured differently, perhaps minor tweaking here and there, but nothing major.

Then in year 3, we might see a Turbo S, when they dump the parts bin and kick it up a notch.

Year 4? Who knows.

As for timing, if they are bringing out the first year Turbo NOW (June), I'd say late summer '07 would be the next year's model.

Just a hunch.

Like when they released '03 Cayennes in March '03 and came out with '04s in April!
