"Sincere" Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, made in two limited editions (50 with a light grey dial, 50 with a dark grey dial), in connection with the anniversary ("Jubilee") of the Sincere store in Singapore. It has a steel case, tantalum bezel, steel depolyant, and two straps, in black and grey leather. Although sold out years ago, it is my most recent aquisition, and buying it made me feel better about selling my Tantalum Panerai.

I understand tantalum is expensive and difficulty to machine. The color is sublime, dark grey with a hint of blue.

so tantalum is a natural metal or alloy?

ps, what is market value? is this a fair price? this is actually one watch i'd consider buying outside of rolex.

It is a element.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tantalum

Its also expensive. Someone I know was looking into a 2 ft 1" diameter section of pipe made out of Tantalum to transfer high pressure high temp fluid, cost was quoted at 20K.

Correct me if I am wrong but I imagine it would add some weight the watch due to the high density of Tantalum.

So Marc, what is that retail price and is this a good deal? Is it worth the extra $3k or $4k over the steel model?
