wholesale prices of db9 2005 -2008

Its all about miles and condition , a 30,000 mile 2005 car in Chicago sold for $75k,above average in May, but an average car in Fla with 14,000 sold for $70,000. 2006 will trade about 10,000 to 15,000 higher than that and 2007 appraoching the 95-100 mark. condition and maintainance records are also huge , so the bid offer spread can be fairly wide. E bay's inventory has actually been growing significantly as prices have plunged and some forced sellers have probably hit some bids . Marshal Goldman in Cinn , usually has a few for sale. I had tracked a nice blue one he carried for about 8 months but it is no longer there . I see them at auction every so often , stocking a 90k $ car in this atmoshere is dicy , even if you think you have an order . Alot of guys looking , not as many writing checks . I figure I can just as easily lose it in the market so why not drive what you want ,

Along the same lines, I am looking at either trying to find a 2005 DB9 or 2006 Vantage. Is there anything I should be looking for, as far as known problems?

On the Vantage (06-07) there were a few minor items but all covered by no hassle warrenty, so easy for owners to have repaired and I am not familiar w/ recurring issues ie. keep fixing the same problem ... I would suggest a review of records ... they seem to be reliable cars. My 2007 Vantage has been as good as any P-car I've owned ...

There seems to be a substantial gap between the auction prices and retail prices right now.

I have been watching the V8V both 2006 and 2007 prices for a little over six months, I have most of the info on the cars sold at auction for the past six months. There is a big gap but there has been few cars go through the auctions that did not need something to be fixed or paint work needed. That may have some effect on the gap if dealers are buying and investing some cash into them to get them ready for sale. From what I have seen the gap is over 10% of the asking price for most cars.

One of the biggest effects on retail prices other than condition is the in-service date and remaining warranty.
