Some neighbors really got a hoot out of seeing "that far too expensive car" get hauled down the street on a flatbed! Especially those do-gooder dweebs driving green Toyota hybrids. Great advertising for AM, all the way across town!

Funny, but my good old Ford truck just runs and runs and I can even work on it any time I need/want to!

It happens to the best of cars! Don't worry, they will figure it out and you will be running the hybrids off the road in no time : )

Sorry to hear these issue ... have a '07 Vantage w/ about 11k miles and never a stall problem.

As for Audi V10 vs. Vantage V12 ... Vantage V12 is a no go for USA ... has Audi changed their minds ... initially said no to US Mkt too

V12 and V10

Yep, my dealer also said "no Vantage V12 for the US". On the other hand, the V10 R8's on on the way. I've got build sheets on two, completed and to ship to local dealer. He also says his other pre-ordered units should also begin to ship soon.

Re my original Vantage stalling, still no firm resolutions. Apparently AM rep looked at car again on Monday and they got it to stall twice, while driving. Said they got "computer snapshot" of at least one of the stallings, so hope to learn something. He's apparently been in contact with UK tech folks.
Also got email from AM Customer Care, saying they would call me to discuss soon.

My dealer is currently looking at the "engine cutout" issue and asked me for VIN's of other V8 Vantage owners that have the same problem to find out, if certain ranges of cars are affected.

So please anyone with the typical cutout problem (not the engine dying completely), please send me a PM me with your VIN.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't your dealer mass email his colleagues (other dealers) and ask them for such info? I'm sure they have records of such complains.

Dealer told me that the factory is unaware of this fault that's why I'm asking for the VIN's. I guess mass emailing is not something dealers are normally doing to solve problems.

Vin

Doc, my car had the full stalling issue, not really the cutting out problem. Either way, I bought mine in 1/09 and VIN ended 11834. Heard from my local U.S. Regional Rep that he was still working on the car yesterday to try and duplicate and ID the problem.
Good luck.
