it was my dream car for so long until the db9 came out.

I, like you, fell in love with Aston over this car and the Vanquish moved it along further. They can be had very cheap and most lead sheltered lives. There's 1 or 2 that I see bopping around the neighborhood and it's still delightful to see. My favorite DB7 was this one at the NY Auto show some years ago and I think they called it the "GT":
