Not throwing codes as the dealer checked it on the computer. It just quietly cuts off. I re-insert the key quickly and it fires back up. When you're coming down the mountains or on a down ramp in turns, that takes some dexterity. Again, it happens when I engage the clutch to change gears or coast....

perhaps its crank position sensor...

Its never happened to me, quite the opposite. I can bog the engine down to 400rpm or lower and its still won't stall. The car has so much rotating mass it should not bog unless you just instantly drop clutch with no throttle.

Vantage stalling/cutting off

It's a manual tranny....not paddle shift. I've had a few little isues with the car since I bought it new. Nothing is perfect and I love the car but cutting off on me is not good.

Hi. I can help you out with this. Next time though you should open ur own topic for a case like this, this way when ppl respond you'll know it's in regards to your own concern..

When the car stalls, did you notice if the fuel tank is above 3/4 full, when under 1/2 tank it never stalls..or fuel level doesn't matter?...sounds stupid but VERY important..

Repair

Tks. I am new to this. Are you accepting this situation? What does AM have to say. Can't be always worried how much gas is in the tank.

Hehe..what??

Ok I can see your also new, well when someone "quotes" a reply it's usually because that he/she is replying to that person individually..

Now sorry I'm little lost, are you asking me or the last reply from someone else? This is kind of why new topics should be created versus crashing someone else's topic or bringing back a topic from the dead/archive..LOL

Wow, I'm surprised no one commented on Immanuel's reply. I started a discussion similar to this on the AM group because my i6 DB7 was acting in the same manner. Seems that a member with a V12 DB7 has the same problem and it turned out to be an idle control valve. Should be easy to change on the 12's but a royal pain in the *** on the i6's. Quick and easy try. Good luck.

All I can say is that AM would not acknowledge or look for a solution to the problem.

Nobody replied because there is no IAC sensor on a V8 nor the VH platform V12's..their drive by wire and will trigger a DTC when errored, only concerns I've seen with the throttle is after a large amount of mileage the butterfly clearance gets gum build up and needs to be cleaned, but that is not anywhere near the complaint

Did they scan it?
Did they road test and simulate the concern?
As we all know they took your car back, did they give you a run around for months in the end or settle the return fast with you?
