2005 DB9 auto acting sluggish?
2005 DB9 auto acting sluggish?
Has anyone experienced this? When in auto mode the car is VERY sluggish, beyond normal. It almost feels like a few cylinders aren't firing??? However, when using the paddles it works great?? Don' want to take it to the dealer unless I have too
Thanks in advance!

Can you elaborate a bit more on "sluggish"?
Mechanically, I don't see how misfiring cylinders would make it feel sluggish - I think you'd be experiencing harsher vibrations and most certainly, engine codes.
Is this something that once was different (auto was good previously) but has now changed? or has it always been this way?

I know this original post was made a long time ago but I'm new to the forum. I noticed it a bit sluggish today especially when about 60 to 70mph and it's in 6th gear (automatic) and it was around 1500rpm or so at the 60mph level.
When I switched to the paddles I had no such problem. Anybody else run into this?

First, I loved the Oceans 11 reference...
What does that job usually run (parts and labor)? I'm thinking independent if I can get it done there (in Houston). Got a tip from someone that since the battery is 8 years old that might be the problem as well.

AM Fixer, you were right. Eventually the check engine light went on. Two of the coils went bad. Since there is a one-time gasket needing to be replaced and with two coils shot and the labor I had them all replaced along with the spark plugs. I figured I would be back in 6 months with another one or two causing problems and just get it taken care of now. I can do it again 8 years from now
