2006-07 used Vantage prices paid recently

ok, trying to get a feel for what everyone has been paying in the last 12 months for their 2006-2007 Vantage. I am in the market for one and the prices seem to be all over from $60k to $80k+. Seems like most do not want to sell below $70k even with no warranty left, but many sell at Manheim for under $60k. You would think in this economy money talks, but not in this case.

I paid $78K for 07 sportshift with 7k miles and still under warranty. Dealer wouldn't budge on price. This car looks new. I saw ones for low 70's with 20K+ miles... Happy with the purchase, I probably could have found something for a lower price, but this car is pristine.

The prices are definitely very random. You seem to have things figured out. The problem is dealers expect AM to maintain their value like a Ferrari or Lamborghini when the market for them is extremely small.

I think color, mileage and maintenance records has a lot to do with price variations. A few of the "good" deals you see don't turn out to be as good as the new owners thought. They seem to be plagued with issues that should have been identified and corrected by the previous owner.

Even if the mileage is decent, lack of AM maintenance records causes the value of the car to take a huge hit.

Yup...as an owner of an '07, I had plenty of issues that I had to get addressed by the dealer. What a huge nightmare it would be to fix these all out of warranty. Also keeping the thing maintained (oil changes, etc.) at the dealer, while not cheap, is critical for exotics.
