Are there any aftermarket ones available? I wouldn't mind a little bigger. I'm coming from an M3 with the paddles on the wheel...don't like it on the column. Wouldn't mind a shorter throw also.... wonder if its adjustable?

I had my transmission control unit (TCU) reprogrammed by Stuart at RSC. The difference is amazing. Shifts are MUCH shorter and more precise. Best bang for the buck mod I have done on the AM. I did a write-up on it in on 6speed in December 2009 if you are interested.

BTW, I assume you were referring to a shorter physical throw in the paddle not the shift time but I thought you might be interested in the TCU upgrade.

What exactly happened? Did it BREAK? If so, carbon fiber might not be your best choice...
