Oh it got wet alright!! Didn't even melt!!! Gets the full detail today though. I lived in Seattle for 24 years and if you don't take your cars out in the rain.....you never take them out!

When you do get some decent Seattle weather how about a photo op and some pics for us Aston admirers?

Great looking Vantage. Best of luck with it.
Interested in hearing the comparison with the Porsche...

Hi - noticed you might be interested in the SS remap we offer. It's definitely the best bang for buck of all the AM upgrades we offer. I actually have a customer (AM driving instructor) who lives very close to AM of Troy and has the SS map. If you drop me a line I can put you in touch with him and he'd be happy to give you a demo.

Well, I have put about 300 miles on the new car and have a few initial observations to share. First off, this thing really gets attention! I am not sure most folks know what it is but they know it's something special. The visibility out of this car is not nearly as good as the turbo was. I am having a little trouble finding the "optimum" seating position but it is still new to me and I am sure I will find it.
The fit and finish is beautiful and really the interior has garnered as many oooh's and ahhh's as the gorgeous exterior. Great sound system as well.
I have not had the chance to push it yet as in get it sideways but what I have noticed so far is that it corners very flat and is more comfortable and settled in broken pavement turns than the turbo. The turbo would skitter and jump to the side a bit over these conditions which are everywhere in SE Michigan. Obviously it does not have the explosive acceleration that the turbo has but it is still a quick car. The exhaust note is intoxicating and blows the P car's away. I cannot imagine changing this exhaust although it must weigh a ton cause it is HUGE!!!
I don't really have a summation as there is more driving to do! I am enjoying getting to know this new car and am not feeling any regret at making the change from one great car to another. One thing I guess I will add is my dealership experience. It was and has been great, Aston Martin of Troy folks are very friendly, courteous and helpful. I met so many people from sales to service that I cannot remember all the names but not one of them had anything other than a good professional attitude. I appreciate that! I'll throw in a couple more pics!

Vantage has one of the most balanced, predictable chassis of any road car I've ever driven. Really engaging drive and easy to push a bit without getting yourself into trouble.

Glad to hear you like it, my V8V is my third AM, the other two were DB7's. This is the most solid and fun AM Ive had, a real pleasure to drive.
