i will be in London in October and would love to visit the factory. Is the tour available for the public? Can't seem to find more info on it.

They have 1 day a year where it's open to the public, otherwise you need to own a Aston for the tour (unless that's changed in the last year)

Just out of curiosity, do they confirm you're an Aston owner and, if so, how?

The Factory Tour needs to be booked through a AM dealer, so I assume that's how to 'try' to keep it to owners.

When I has trying to arrange my date, they where booked solid for 6 weeks, I believe that's why they restrict the tours.

I highly recommend visiting Gaydon to any owner who's got a spare day while in the Uk.

Something to maybe consider if you are interested in the older Astons and should be easier to organise at short(er) notice, is a trip to Works Service at Newport Pagnell (about 1hr north of London). For those not aware it is on the site of the old Aston Factory (it is a part of the parent company) and a considerable amount of the present workshops are given to the complete restoration of Astons from all over the world.
If you are a historical petrolhead confined to the London area - I can also highly recommend a visit to the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge - on the site of the first purpose built racetrack in the world.
