suspension settings
suspension settings
I was wondering if anyone has tried the sport suspension settings on a normal suspension. Alternatively, anyone have suggestions for settings on a normal suspension?
My car feels a little squirrely and I'm sure that the settings are a little screwed up, so before I take it in I was hoping on some input for numbers.
Thanks

So, I took my car to get aligned and was it messed up!
My front camber was -.01 and -.82 and one front toe was -4.4 mm and the other was 6.1 mm.
The back camber was -1.48 and -1.74 and the toe was 2.1 mm and 3.6 mm.
I specified a "Performance Street Use"
Front camber -0.68

So, I took my car to get aligned today and it was really screwed up.

Castor was 4.76 and 4.96
I requested a "Performance Street Use"
Front camber -.68, castor 5.16, and toe 1.3
Back camber -1.67 and toe 1.8
So far, so good!

Alignment specialist.
I went to a well respected place in the area that has a lot of experience with AM's.
Another thing he recommended was to inflate the tire pressures at 40 in the front and 36 in the back. According to him, the tire pressure recommendations are very broad to allow for overheating if you are in a hot climate, such as Florida. Also, having the front tires with more pressure increases oversteer and, in his opinion, improves handling and also improves tire wear.
I have the Pirelli Corsas on the car and he isn't a big fan of them. Even though they are OEM, he states that the tire sizes are not completely right for the car- 235/40 and 275/35 for the Bridgestones and 245/40 and 285/35 for the Pirellis. He thinks the car handles better with the Bridgestones.

Much better than before. However, my specs before the alignment were so screwed up, I can't really say how it compares to a true stock alignment.
Can't say how the alignment got so out of whack, but the previous owner may have hit something with the wheel or maybe it was something that happened during transport.
