Smile New to me DBS (Casino Royale)

Hello guys,

Just though I would share some pics of my new ride with you. I had been looking for about a year and finally got the specs that I wanted:

2009 Aston Martin DBS
Transmission: 6 speed manual
Exterior color: Casino Royale
Interior color: Obsidian Black

Just for kicks, here is the list I carried around that reminded me why I wanted the DBS and what I didn't already have with the Vantage (in order of importance ):

  1. My wife wants it too
  2. Supercar
  3. Power (510 HP)
  4. Torque (420 lbs/ft)
  5. Engine note
  6. Exterior design
  7. Adaptive dampening control
  8. Premium Sound System (ipod integration, mp3 player...)
  9. Saphire/stainless steel key
  10. Multi-stage traction control
  11. Steering wheel controls
  12. Rear diffuser
  13. Clear bra
  14. Integrated Bluetooth
  15. Front and rear proximity sensors
  16. Seat memory controls
  17. Ceramic brakes
  18. Interior console design
  19. Rain sensing windshield wipers
  20. Clear tail lights
  21. Cruise control
  22. Carbon fiber in all the right places
  23. Performance tires
  24. Side indicator lights
  25. Heated seats
  26. Navigation system
  27. Alcantara on seats and doors
  28. Lit door handles
  29. Folding/heated side-view mirrors
  30. 20" wheels
  31. Garage door opener
  32. Center armrest storage
  33. Satellite radio
  34. Auto dimming rear-view mirror
  35. Tinted windows
Believe me when I say that the pictures do not do it justice. The color is amazing. It is something you have to see to truly appreciate.

Anyway, I just had to tell somebody about it because I am all smiles.

Looks great, congrats!

Were the '06 models lacking a lot of features added for '07 and later? Steering control I knew, but cruise control, dimming mirror, power fold mirrors, park distance sensors, cd player, bluetooth, nav, garage door opener, side indicator lights(!!), and lit door handles are all on my '07. Don't have heated seats (don't need them) but it was available in '07.

Where in Fl are you?

Thanks, guys.

As far as the '06 goes, I'm sure that others were customized to have some of the features I was missing. But, at the time, the Vantage had everything that I wanted. By the way, I did have a CD changer in my Vantage (corrected above - oops).

I'm in Northeast Florida where there's plenty of room to roam on my new wheels.

wow, grats, absolutely beautiful car.

The interior of the DBS makes the Vantage look plain, which speaks volumes considering how nice the V8V is.

Will do, Michael. Any particular route/road I should look at if I do get into that area?

By the way, everyone, I am officially honeymooning with my new car and I have a feeling it's going to last a while. The honeymoon with my Vantage lasted over two years...it started to fade as soon as I heard the growl upon starting the "new to me" DBS.

Feel free to speak with Derk Fisk at Aston Martin of Orlando if you need any maintenance details.
