Sportshift or not to Sportshift?

Sportshift or not to Sportshift?
After driving the SS and the MT, both in Los Angeles traffic, it is clear that the SS offers options in slow-moving, stop-and-go traffic. Such is lfe in L.A.... Since the car will be based there, I don't want to regret getting a MT (ALL of my cars have been MT, but I have never kept a car in L.A. before).
So, my questions are the following:
With Stuart's TCU remap, is the SS a better transmission for a big-city DD? I found the stock SS to be a bit sluggish at lights.
Would those of you in the Socal area please weigh in on your experiences with both the MT and the SS?
Thanks in advance

I think people's responses to which transmission is "best" is going to depend mainly upon personal preferences of paddles vs. stick. Personally, I like the old school "proper" gear box (i.e., manual). Many purists are likely to agree. That said, paddles do make sense in terms of performance and traffic. You need to drive both and decide which you like the best. Good luck.

There are many posts discussing this subject. The "search" feature is your friend. You will find a ton of info on here regarding the 2 available transmissions. I did a pretty detailed write-up of the RSC TCU upgrade a few months back.
