DB9 for $65k?
What's wrong with this?
I can't believe this is where prices are for a DB9.

My wife likes the color.
I've never priced a new DB9 (I've only ever looked at Vantages). I'm having difficulty believing that options can make more than a $10k difference in a used car.
36,000 miles in 6 years is a lot?
The original warranty wore off probably 3 years ago.
And the price went down $100k in 6 years (about 60% depreciation).
I guess I was shopping for a Vantage, and came across this pleasant surprise. The wife likes the 'bigger' look of the DB9. I think I've just upped my search.
A little help: what options is it missing that would make the cost THAT much lower?

OK people, 36000 miles on a 6 year old car is NOT high mileage.
Now, it is missing some options, but other than that it appears to be a really good deal, assuming there isn't some surprise lurking with it.

Look at 996 Turbos. Similar depreciation. And they're more desirable!

Here are a few other high mile DB9's under $70k:

An Aston is not a Porsche (where 36k + miles would not be a big deal).
Just like a Ferrari, service and maintenance costs start adding up very quickly over 25k, unfortunately.

Thanks for all of the input. I'm certainly surprised that my previous 2007/8 Vantage search turned into a 2005/6 DB9 search.
It wouldn't be my daily driver (I say that now), but rather only come out about 2 - 4 times a month.
It is hard to compare this to the new(er) XKR.

On the miles, 36,000 is high for an Aston Martin in general, although it wouldn't be for a normal commuter car that was 6 yrs old. Most are not daily drivers (although they can be), so relatively speaking that's high.
It's not so much that they are more expensive to maintain or that they aren't durable (I know of at least one 100,000 mile DB9), but rather that there are so many out there with fewer miles for sale.
Most are second or third cars...mine is an '07 (4 model years old vs 6 for this DB9) but I only have 11K miles on it...and I consider myself to drive it a lot.

This color combo is actually sharp in person. The newer models have updated interior and better gear. The mileage isn't a fear but keep in mind there are a lot of cars out there that are newer with better opts. So if your in the market for a DB9, chances are you're not looking for the lowest price. Most of them are sold at a hit to sticker at 3-4 years. I would explore an extended warranty if your concerned. With the money you save you could make it your own with some mods. The interior looks good but those are the old seats which appear less sporty and a bit "big" in the capsule. These are some of the reasons that a potential buyer would look at a newer, more updated car. Having said that, it's still a great car and probably a bargain if it checks out in terms of accidents and engine.

I have also seen the color combo in person ... it is nice. The couple that busted into Pres. Oboma had this color combo ... DB9! Upgrading sound systems and things like that is the same expense as any other sports car. I tend to agree w/ Jaymoney ... if it checks out good ... not a bad choce.
Putting a 996tt as more "D" ... nope ... 25,000 + owners already been there done that ...
