Changing the subject a little, I added 110 octane fuel to one quarter of the 91 octane fuel to my V8 Vantage with power upgrade and it really improves the throttle response, revs faster and the engine runs smother. ( smells really nice too )

I was actually thinking about testing out the 110 octane fuel on my AM as well, and see what kind of difference it made from running just on 91 octane ...

The most cost effective option is by far Toluene. Its essentially 114 octane lead free race gas. You can pick it up at any sherman williams for 10-13 bucks a gallon. Usually you only need 1 gallon for every half tank to achieve 96+ octane. Most of the difference you will feel is going to 96 octane because most stock ECU cannot adapt beyond that unless specifically tuned for it. I have been using it for a decade and its 100 percent safe and is already in the gas at the pump.

Hope that helps,
007

That will definitely make a difference...we have 93 octane here and I can tell a difference if I add one of the octane boosters.

off the shelf octane boosters dont do much compared to this. They only add 0.3 octane, whereas toluene will add 10x as much. You need serious volume to make a diff. Put a few gallons of toluene in you tank and it will feel like a new car. Fyi ... F1 runs almost pure toluene ....

Also, on an ecu tuned for 93 octane .... The difference between 96 octane and 110 is negligable, all the gains are by moving up to 96... The rest is just waste.

On FI cars toluene is absolutely amazing so I def recommend it for you tahoe

Hope that helps

I used the same gas and got it for $9/gallon and supposedly the power upgrade remap will detect higher octane fuels ( I'm sure the car worked better )
PS: tahoem3 for sure will notice more power than us with NA engines

Octane boosters don't work and they build carbon in your engine and cats so don't use them.

Search on the Internet for 5th gear they had a show on octane boosters
