02 DB7 No tool kit or spare

Just purchased a 2002 DB7 Vantage Volante and it is missing the tool kit, and has no spare tire. What's the best approach to replacement or purchasing spare that will fit?

Bill

A lot of new Sports cars have no spare. Instead they include an Emergency repair kit in the trunk. Here's one available from Tire Rack that is the same as the kit supplied with newer Astons. You can use it as just a tire pump, or flip up the side case and it will pump in repair fluid and pump up your tire.

and here's how it works.

I recently purchased a 2003 db7 and it's missing the trunk platform deck - from photo I understand that it's a hinged plastic panel that covers the battery compartment and other items below the floor. Aston tells me that it's no longer available. Any ideas where I might look or if an early model might fit?

Try the breakers

Try to find a breaker in the UK (junkyard here in the US). There are a few advertising on Ebay Motors UK and they're worth an email.

Breakers & DB7

Thanks, good thought but I've not been able to locate any used trunk floors in the yards I've checked. I wonder if the trunk shape has changed much...perhaps I could find a newer one.

I'd say an older one may be better. You can also find a friend and measure on up for fabrication. No brain surgery there. And have you tried to compare what spare tires the XK's were being shipped with?
