V8V mirrors Q

Hi all,

I have had my06 vantage about 9 months and not sure whether I remember correctly or not but should the mirrors self fold in when you turn the ignition off? I'm sure mine did but recently noticed they haven't unless I self fold them myself pressing the two mirror buttons.
Can't see anything in the owners manual about it.
Cheers all

BB

The mirror should fold when you lock the car. Depending on the year this feature can be set on the cars menu options or for my 2009 it needs to be set by the dealer

With a MY06 - If it's not folding now, then the dealer will have program this for you.

The current versions have this 'option' in the menu which allows the owner to choose.

It's not in the menu settings . I had a flat battery recently I wonder if that stopped it when I took out to recharge?
Pain in the butt if you have to take back to a dealer just to reset that :-(

My recollection is that the powerfold mirror option was first introduced in 2007. Dealer has to program the change for 2007-2008 models. I think 2009+ can be done within the menu.

Mirrors

On the older cars the mirror closing setting is lost if your battery goes dead. I know because I've been there and done that. The dealer has to reset the mirrors up through the 08 cars that I know of. My 09 does not have a menu setting. The menu setting is only on the MY 10 cars and up. So keep your battery charged. Ken
