RaceCarDriver is infamous around these parts
What does the kit cost, including installation?

This takes nothing away from the real world increase you experience and the enjoyment you get from having the modification. Just a simple case of incorrect delta measurement - but that delta can only be 20BHP and only when using high octane fuel.

Yeah, it must be.....I was questioning the same thing. The service manager told me that the exhaust hardly shows any HP gain, but when you mate the exhaust with the AM power upgrade it "brings out the best in both".

I guess he had done several dynos in houston and saw gains over 20BHP if they had/added exhaust.

Thats the tough part with dynos....hard to know what to believe.

Still, 5 grand for the AM kit including installation is a hard one to stomach.. Especially for 10-20 hp depending on fuel. Talking about rotational mass- rims, rotors, etc all cost a great deal considering price and installation for what you get in return. In the end you're only a few grand off the price of a supercharger or a complete rebuild. I do remember seeing something on ESX website about that, but I think it was in conjunction with the supercharger installation. Not too many options..

The recommended gas for this car is premium (93 octane), and using that nets you the full 20.

I can not agree more on the cost, but it is an AM upgrade and came from factory on the N400 so you know its tried and true from a testing standpoint.

It felt more than 20 from the seat of my pants.....the throttle response improvement itself was worth it to me.

Yeah, this is true. it is a legit upgrade with factor backing, can't really go wrong there. As long as it makes the car more fun!! Anyways, the seat of the pants tend to be more accurate then these "iffy" dyno's.
Can't wait to get mine on the road in about a month!!

As previously posted Mike is not a sponsor of this board...he has been allowed tp participate as a non sponsor to provide information to members...however, if members insist on putting him on the spot with specific questions about his products, availability or pricing you will likely get him banned and asked to become a sponsor...you can easily ask him those questions privately with pm's and keep him on the board...I will not issue this warning again

This board has too many "rules".

and we may have members that don't respect the sponsors that pay for the board to be free in the first place....I have given Mike a lot of lattitude here in the interests of providing a knowledge base for AM owners and I am only asking members to be respectful of his tenuous position as a registered user...if you don't respect our rules and the sponsors that make this forum possible then maybe this is not the forum for you....I am only asking that members not put Mike on the spot and at the same time be respectful of the paying sponsors of this board by private messaging Mike with any questions about any products he may be associated with....I don't think that is asking too much and it has nothing to do with our "rules"
