KBA, I think you are incorrect. According to my owners manual the service interval is every 3 years/30K miles for normal service and for extreme enviorments every 2 years/20K miles. I think everyone that is expecting anything but minor (if at all) power gains by replacing the OEM paper filters with and oiled filter (of either brand) is seeking fools gold. In the 70s this may have been the case but there is has been a fair amount of research on air flow (CFM) and various vacuum pressurs between the types of filters and there is little difference in flow if at all. Most of the restriction in the Aston is the filters but the plumbing to the filters and the box.

kba is infamous around these parts
From my understanding (speaking to my dealer and reading this forum), the OEM filters are to be changed everytime the car is serviced, which is every 10K mi or yearly.

I haven't referred to my manual for the recommended service internals (and I can't now as I'm out of town) but, I was told by my dealer every year or 10K miles, which imo $1,500 is a small fee to keep my car fresh and worry free.

And as for "fools gold" your correct but, my logic behind replacing the OEM filters was that it's cheaper in the long run and you do gain some, if any, performance.

I checked the my copy of Aston Shop Manual which also indicates air filter change every 3yr/30K miles.

I have a copy of the "V8 Vantage Maintenance Sheet" the dealer uses as a check-list and it shows 3yr/30,000 or 2yr/20,000 (exteme enviornments). Extreme enviornment is like if you drove through Phoenix last night (July 5).
