Where can you get non oiled air filters that fit the EVOMS airbox. I know evoms but they are on backorder. Some smart person knows an alternative source. Please share!

agree. I got rid of the bmc just for the way it looked a few k miles after cleaning. blech. never felt any noticeable improvement. just "sounded" like more air coming in, but I don't believe it.

mahle for me too.

I've used K&N's on every vehicle I've owned and never had a problem...ever.
I can see where it could become a problem when it comes time to recharge the element and YOU over oil after cleaning. In the end that's your problem, not K&N's.

Applications I've used K&N's on
Conquest TSi
Stealth Twin Turbo
GMC Typhoon
R32 GT-R
R32 GTS4
Evolution 9
Z31 300ZX Turbo
Z32 300ZX Twin Turbo
Fiat 500 Abarth
Ram Cummins Turbodiesel
And now
996TT

s65e90 is infamous around these parts
The problem is not the oiled filter itself but installer error.

People over oil the filter and foul the MAF.

( ahem ( "proper" ) "installation"! how does one improperly install a flat panel air filter!? ) whatever...

doen't change the fact that oiled filters look like SHYTE after a few k miles, and the particles and soot were enough to make me switch back to a mahle. plus, any "noticeable" power gains are the stuff of "myth". the overoiling "issue" for folks dumb enough to do that, are not mythical, but rather quite real lol

just aint worth it in my book, and my maf is clean as a whistle to boot

I don't care for the oiled filters but proper oiling/dry time does greatly reduce issues. Paper is the way to go with none of the hassles= my opinions.
