Wheel lock replacement

My wheel lock key has gone missing. This is a major problem. Last time I saw it, it was in the glove box, and I wonder if one shops that works on the car accidentally kept it...or if someone swiped it from the glove box whole the car was unlocked (see my other post today).

So...presumably it is an AM wheel lock. I assume they have a master key or can use the VIN number to track down a replacement, but the service manager didn't say this was an option.

Any other suggestions on how to get a replacement key/lug or another solution?

I can't remember if AM has oem wheel locks or not? If you can post a picture of the wheel lock some members may be able to tell the manufacturer. I know that the AM factory wheel nuts would not fit my aftermarket wheels so I started looking for other lock sources. I never completed my search though. In your case I'm not sure if the HRE's accept oem lug nuts? I know McGard has quite a few applications and maybe for AM as well? If so they keep good customer records if those are what you have. Wheel locks can be removed by wheel and tire shops using a special chuck and impact wrench. Downside is that locks are usually ruined after that. Best of luck.
