V12 Vantage Wheels for 2006 V8 Vantage
Yes, I am not the original poster of this thread and these are a different set of wheels than the ones on Ebay. Mine were sourced through my AM dealer in Dallas.
No issues with anything; straight bolt on. Handling performance is upgraded signficantly; Corsa's are awesome. More handling performance than a Vantage with the sport pack without the harsh ride penalty. The wider forged V12V wheel and tire combination actually seemed lighter than the 20 spoke wheels and RE050 tires that were on the car (non-scientific, me picking both up). I didn't get to weigh them. I can weigh the 20 spokes now if anyone is interested.

Hi Rombrigs, I do agree they look fabulous on your car, I'm not trying to rain on your parade (I'm sure they will be fine if you don't drive the car to its limits, and I see others fitting 20 inch wheels!), BUT there is a lot of misinformation posted and I wanted to be sure others know they are not recommended fitment for the standard V8 Vantage. For the following reasons -
In order to be sure that I wasn't misleading anyone I have double checked direct with A.M. and this is the official line
- Rear tyres will potentially foul on:
-Rear springs in rebound (damper travel reduction and rear spring package change for V12V)
-Fuel filler neck during compression travel. (fuel filler was re-engineered for V12V)
-Rear wheel arch liner during compression travel (arch liners were re-engineered for V12V)
-DMTL bracket during compression travel. (DMTL was moved for V12V)
Front tyres will potentially foul on:
-Front wheel arch liners during compression travel (arch liners were re-engineered for V12V)
-Lower control arm on steering back lock in rebound travel. (rack travel was restricted for V12V)
Under no circumstances would we advise the fitting of V12 Vantage wheels to a V8 Vantage, as also the geometry, and braking systems together with the items above are Engineered specifically model to model.
Please rest assured any wheel and tyre combination offered by us as an option or accessory fit would all have to meet with Engineering approval and sign off.

Hiya Karl, they would look fabulous, but again aren't a recommended fitment for similar reasons to the above. why are you being tempted?
Hey Grant. After briefly driving a V12V at Daytona International Speedway a few weeks ago, if I could work out the finances, I would get one today. I already have a spec list of how I would want it configured
I do think the 20in DBS wheels would look fab, and since many things were relocated on the V12V wheel wells, I was thinking that they may fit just fine.

The V12 is a real beast, so i can see why it would appealed to you (go on you know it makes sense - the GT3 of the Aston world!) but as we men know every inch counts
and the DBS wheels are just that bit too big for the V12V - anyway the standard wheels look great.

Can Grant or someone answer DBS 20in. wheels on DB9? Any issues there.
Cheers
John
The 19" V12V wheels on a V8V fit with no issues. We are only talking about an extra 20mm tire width on each corner and the tire/wheels are .5" shorter than stock. They are 100% bolt on. Maybe the V12V car is lower which requires all the "re-engineering" mentioned by Grant3.

The 20" DBS wheels on a V12V fit fine. I have the takeoff V12V wheels from the Dallas car on mine.

Clearly you CAN fit larger wheels and ignore the official factory advice and some people do, if you don't heavily test the suspension travel you may be absolutely fine, BUT I for 1 believe in listening to official factory advice rather than a mate next door. Aston have their own range of 20-inch wheels and they wouldn't miss the chance of selling an upgrade direct from the factory - it would be more £££, they don't currently offer 20-inch for DB9 or V8/V12V or the V12V wheels for the V8! They do look nice though!
I do too, except when the factory says I should only use the "special" tires for the Vantage sold by AM.
