The Ultimate Solution for AM Nav & Entertainment Center problems

i love my v8 vantage my only problem with it is the prehistoric Navigation system and the Entertainment Audio / Video Features .

i spent considerable time trying to find a solution for it until i found what i think
is the ultimate solution . an all in one system touch screen by Alpine ( Navigation , Audio , sat radio , aux usb etc. ) fitted nicely on a vantage that belongs to ralph eibach i guess .

i love it and its just a matter of contacting the company XTON in germany who did this amazing work.

attached are the images of the system installed in the vantage .

and here are the links of the video i found its in german i couldn't understand a thing

9000€ without fitting for sure :-). The car owner has a well known company for sport and racing springs : http://automotive-oem.eibach.de/cms/oem_capability

Ok, a brief translation for you guys:
He was preparing the car for an exhibition, the car was supposed to be sent to England for motor tuning after the sound tuning. Of course, he would fit own springs, he was talking also about a custom made (from inside adjustable) stabilizer.

The Audio system is an 5.1 Alpine, you saw the amplifiers (3 out of 4) in the trunk but they couldn't get rid (although they wanted to) of the ***** for air condition and dash lights, so they placed them in the ashtray hole :-).

Really?? this isn't to knew(the installation) ...there si afew in my area, cars that I work on that have a setup like this ..Double DIN all in one radio/cd player/GPS from FutureShop or BestBuy ...remove out center stack, fiberglass a new custom molding to fill area around radio, old center stack gets HVAC and lower controls cut off and molded to new fiberglass radio surround, send for paint to match centerstack trim color....install new Double DIN radio and custom radio surround with HVAC and lower controls ..done

I've seen this on a 2006 DB9, and on a V8V 2008..another client did something on these lines but kept the oem radio and just modded the nav..took out the nav and used the power feeds for a small LCD screen which fit perfectly..then put the aftermarket gps/cd player in the trunk in replace of the GPS dvd player..

Ok guys, I just watched the video. Below some translation:

As already mentioned by watchrabbit, it was a onetime instalment for an auto show. The owner is the guy from Eibach springs.

Anyhow, basically they did a complete remodelling of the audio system with new amplifiers and so on. Therefore the price of 9000 EUR. Like watchrabbit, I would guess it is the parts only.

The most interesting part though is that they could not replace the old head unit, as the board computer, A/C and heating is controlled via this unit. Thus they had to place the buttons within the ashtray. But as there is no display anymore, you can not see you’re a/C settings anymore. Also your telephone would be gone.

This does not sound like the ultimate solution for me anymore….

Bringing this old thread back to life...

Has anyone seen this done in the US? It's been a few years now and tech has advanced considerably so I know it would be easier to do this. The problem is that no one customizes these cars because of the potential for degrading the resale value. Owners need to buy these cars to enjoy for themselves and not worry about the next guy so much!

No one does this because it is an Aston to be enjoyed while driving. If you want a boom box on wheels, then buy something else to molest.

Is that why so many 10 year old AM's have less than 10k miles? I think most of those people buy these to say they have one. I bought mine to have an amazing machine that I enjoy driving. Entertainment makes the experience that much better.

Driving makes the driving experience better, not a bunch of video screens and stereo equipment.
