Hood Vents...

The Vantage S is the first car I've owned that has vents in the hood. I'm still getting used to the "mirage effect" that occurs when the hot air comes through the vents. Is this more pronounced in the V12V?

It's certainly very noticeable on the DB9

You think thats bad. You should see the heat come out of a Vanquish S, on a 115F day.

Reminders

Well, they sure work...hence this thread.
In addition to cooling the engine, they serve as two important reminders for me:
1- There's a lot of power under there
2- I'm driving too slow

I love the signature AM vents, and I don't like that we're now seeing them everywhere...even on Fords (yes, I know, my 05 DB9 is a Ford).

The plating is coming off in a few places on my vents. Anyone else had this issue, or had their vent covers re-plated somewhere?
