Fluid info..

Hello, looking to flush brake fluid and coolant. What does everyone recommend? Go pick up from the dealer, or are there other options? And how much of each is required?

TIA!

No way to sustain their monopoly

Owner's Manual reveals OE fluid brands and quantities. If I can do my own service I buy it from dealer (easy but expensive) or hunt it down on internet or local auto parts sources. Dealer fluid monopoly is crumbling. See threads here on engine oil and gear lube. I found Havoline coolant on a rack at my local O'Reilley's.

^^Got the info from the manual, but it seems like itll be dealer only...usually there are others that found comparable products you can pick up locally. Also, doesnt list the quantities you need (Ill be replacing the brake fluid and also draining the coolant and refilling)..

Thanks! Is it the same as the Jaguar coolant? I believe pinkish in color?

Yea, you can use the same. I used it for years never had a problem.
The coolant though if you do a drain and refill you will only need like 3-4qts. What I gave you is a completey dry system.
The brake fluid, thats about how much I use when doing a brake flush.
