New Year's Resolution

So what is one thing you resolve to either do to your Aston or with it (epic trip, etc.) this year?

I live in Seattle and just closed the deal on a 09 Vantage in Dallas. I will fly to Dallas to pick it up then drive to Phoenix to attend the Barrett Jackson auction and get some sun. Then drive to LAX to pick up my wife for a drive up the CA, OR coast visiting friends along the way. Nothing like a 2500 mile trip to get to know one another. Once home, I have a list of things to do to make it my own. Can't wait!!

Did you buy it from the Dallas Aston dealer?

Nice! That's the way to do it. I bought my V8V from a dealer in San Antonio and drove it back to Atlanta, stopping in New Orleans along the way. Not quite the same, but it was great taking a long trip in the car to get to know it. Have a safe trip.

It was actually traded in for a Corvette ZR1 at Sewell of Plano. Michael Fellwock in Service at Aston Martin of Dallas did the Buyers Inspection for me and was great to work with. Since I already own an 08 I felt I know what the car should be so Michael acted as my eyes and ears and gave me a more thorough inspection than I ever could have done on my own. I guess I will find out for sure when I see it for the first time when I fly down to pick it up Jan 13th. I felt that with only 5300 miles and a thorough AM inspection I couldn't be too far off.

The list includes:
A set of HRE wheels and new tires.
A set of coil overs
A set of floating discs.

That's an expensive list, do its likely I won't do them all. I might just get a 911 for track use and mod it instead.

Oh, and drive it every chance I can.

trading it in either for a Vantage V12 or a R8-V10....then again, I may just keep it and buy another toy next to it like a GTR. doesn't sound like a real resolution though

Is this legally binding?

Finish aluminum diffuser fabrication, revise air intake tracts, add some power and torque and remove 30 more pounds.

RSC air filters finally installed. Maybe a front carbon spoiler from RSC. A reflashed ECU or the power kit from AM. If business allows a V12 Vantage by summertime.

I did some upgrades on mine in the month or so after I bought it so nothing really left to do but drive it! Maybe I'll put some RCS filters in, especially if they really do give a little more low end oomph in my 4.3.
