Found rattle--now need help with interior trim
So the good news is I tracked down the rattle. I suppose it is actually more of a "tapping" noise. It seems to be coming from the piece of glossy black trim on the B-pillar (marked A). Well, the noise stops when I press against it anyway. I'm not sure if it's tapping against the window frame or if it is rubbing against the blue leather bit of trim below it (marked B). How do I get access to the part to check it out? Do I need to remove everything to get at it (A, B, & C)? If so, how? I can't find anything in the workshop manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had a strange "tink" noise in my V8V that came from behind the leather panel to the side of and behind the passenger seat (similar to your blue leather panel). I was told by Aston that the only way to take that panel off was to first remove the center panel behind and between the seats. Seemed like major surgery that could create more problems than it solved, so I opted not to do this. Regardless, it might not be as easy to remove your blue leather panel as you might think.
FWIW, I opted to stuff a piece of black high-density foam between the passenger seat and the panel to press against the panel. The foam stopped the noise and was not visible unless you pivoted the seat forward to access the rear shelf.

Racer_X's approach of packing it with something inconspicuous seems like the way to go.
Draught proofing foam / rubber is pretty good for this stuff, if you can find some in black then it looks like it was meant to be there

Yeah, I'm not really up for the idea of disassembling the entire interior. I've got some black foam sheets that I bought at a hobby store a while ago for a different project. The sheets are fairly thin, but the foam is dense and might do the trick. Anyway, I've got a bit squeezed in there now and it's not at all noticeable. Hopefully it will do the trick. Fingers crossed...
Yep, your gonna have to remove that "B" panel and then road test with out it..if the noise is still present you will know to go further..
I've never seen "A" and "C" making noises though..only thing in the "A" area I've heard was on the actually from the outside and it was the drivers window not adjusted correctly..gap was not large enough between drivers window drivers rear 1/4 glass which caused a cracking/creaking noise when driving for the 2 windows were touching..should not be even close to touching at all
