Cool Laser jammer in the vantage?

Did anyone on the board install jammers on their vantage? A friend of mine just got one and is looking at installing it. It is however illegal in Canada though so Im curious how stealthy it can be done and if anyone has experience installing it?

You must be from Toronto, center of the universe and all, so it MUST include "ALL" of Canada .......

You're new on the board. Did you find a 911 for yourself yet? Pics in the Porsche section when you get it.

Hm, trying doing a search on some of the M3 Forums. Theres tons of those guys that have them installed and im sure its not desperately different. Might give you an idea of how the can be installed or how they appear from the outside.

The question is - how effective are they really? I have no experience with jammers, just detectors. I have always wondered if they lived up to the hype.

I've researched their use extensively..... They seem very effective against what the OPP Police us on our highways

At Race the Base last year, the specifically told us to turn OFF our jammers since they could NOT get a reading on the cars that were running them. At all!!! And they were running the newest and latest laser guns. So yeah, I'd say they work pretty well.

I have the K40 stealth radar detection and laser diffuser front and back.

The rear is around my liscence plate and the front is in my grill. There are two blue LEDs above my speedo, left is front and right is rear.

It has a bluetooth remote as well. Detection is not as great as my Escort X50 in my DD, but no tickets.

I have the 9500ci. As for the interior of the car mine is very stealth in that my display is in my mirror, two way glass, and my controls are next to the dc outlet, so I just need to close the lid. However, at the end of the day if a cop knows what the sensors look like (2 in front and one in rear) then that's it - so that's the only real chance. When I researched the 9500ci a while back I found another vantage and DB9 that had it installed with pictures on 6speed.

The dealer in Dallas installed it before Austin had opened its doors.

I did a lot of research & just purchased "Laser Interceptor" brand for my Parking Sensor in California. Laser jammers are a hefty ticket & confiscation of unit in California, but I bet in Canada the Mounties might lock you away forever. The forums on Radar Roy had a lot of good info, and this brand seemed to outperform all else...Croatian military tech.

Everywhere I read says stealth the car, not the install...but even I'm not totally comfortable having black boxes stick out of my beautiful Aston Grill so gonna mount below the grill. Balance of look & effectiveness.

Have any of you figured out where to bring the power lines from the engine bay into the cabin to connect to the control module? I’m very proud of my radar install and hard wiring to a fuse in passenger foot well that turns on & off with the car…but that’s an all-cabin job. I can’t figure this one out. Any suggestions for a good engine-bay to cabin hole?

U in TO? Lemme know what u end up installing and where it's done. I'm thinking of one for mine as well. OTOH ... maybe we can entice Irish down for a road trip to do a little driveway work with a volume discount ... U ever drop down to TO C?
