My '08 had the same problem. At my last service, I told my advisor and he switched the fluid. Like night and day. No problems at all now.

Marcos91 is infamous around these parts
My manual DB9 is baulky into second as well, it's totally expected! Had a Maserati manual before which was also a transaxle layout with cable linkage, same deal.

As mentioned, either double declutch or blip for the upshift as well, or skip into third if it's bad. I usally just do it slowly and that's fine too.

Also helps when the car is static to run through the box with the clutch in, helps move the cold oil about a little.

My V8V had the service bulletin performed by the dealer to improve the 1-2 shift. It helped a little, but not as much as I would have expected.

What fluid did he switch it to? I have 28k on mine and was considering getting the trans done during my service this week but feel the mileage may be slightly low for a trans oil change.
